The Idea Behind the PapaForest
We’ve been thinking about the real-world impact of what we do. Every day, we help entrepreneurs, small business owners, and creators build their online presence. And that got us thinking: what if every new website could help grow something offline, too?
We didn’t want to write a check to a general fund or display a carbon offset number nobody can picture. We wanted something you could point to. A real tree, in real soil, that wouldn’t exist without your eco-friendly domain registration. That’s where the PapaForest came from.
How the Campaign Worked
The setup was simple. Register a new domain with HostPapa between April 8 and 21, and we will plant one tree as part of the PapaForest. That was it.
One tree for one domain.
We kicked things off on April 8 with an open invitation to our community to be part of something bigger than a domain purchase. For two weeks, we shared what a single tree actually does: cleaner air, healthier soil, more habitat for wildlife. And on April 22, Earth Day, we got to share the result.
Over 700 Trees: What That Actually Means
Over 700 trees is a real number with real impact. Over time, those trees will help restore ecosystems, improve air quality, and create healthier environments for local wildlife and communities.
