Shield Security is a WordPress plugin designed to protect your website from unauthorized access and attacks.
Shield Security does not place any feature limitations in the free edition of the plugin – all features are available out of the box. It also includes a WordPress-independent security key that allows site owners to lock plugin settings and tailor access for other administrators.
Features include the blocking of malicious URLs, requests and comment spam. You can automatically hide your WordPress login and administration pages, prevent brute force attacks and attempts to automatically log into your administration dashboard by remote bots.
Two factor authentication, using the Google Authenticator mobile app, ensures that all users logging in to the site are verified. Monitor logins and manage user sessions from an easy to use dashboard. A fully-featured firewall protects your site from intrusion, while scheduled file scanning ensures the integrity of your core WordPress installation.
