Email account limits, restrictions and quotas: Starter, Business and Business Pro plans

HostPapa offers more options for email hosting and cloud-based office applications than almost any other hosting provider on the market.  Email hosting is included with all web hosting plans through your cPanel account. There are slight differences between our Starter, Business and Business Pro plans, which are explained below.

If you’ve upgraded to HostPapa Basic or Advanced Email, you benefit from additional features and higher storage thresholds. Likewise, if you’ve purchased either Google Workspace or plans that include email from Microsoft 365, you’ll enjoy advanced features such as anti-spam protection, additional mailbox storage and email archiving, as well as higher email sending thresholds.

* The email service included with Starter, Business and Business Pro shared web hosting plan allows, by default, 50 outbound emails per hour for each account/mailbox. By request, that threshold can be increased to a maximum of 250 emails per hour, if required – fair usage (not to be used for mass mailing and newsletters).

IMAP connections

The email included with Starter, Business, and Business Pro shared web hosting plans are restricted to a maximum of 5 concurrent IMAP connections per cPanel account/mailbox. This means that you can have only five devices connecting at any one time, and if six people are syncing simultaneously, then one person will not be able to connect.
