Why use a specialized email marketing tool to send bulk emails

Sending bulk emails is a great way to share information with subscribers who have opted-in to hear from you. Although we offer email services, using our shared web hosting to send bulk emails can be less effective than using a dedicated email marketing tool.

Shared web hosts, like HostPapa, are not set up for bulk emailing services. When a lot of people are using the shared web servers for this purpose, it can put a strain on the server, limiting it for everyone else. Not only does this cause nuisance for other people, but sending bulk emails this way can also cause delays in getting your emails sent out, especially if you’re sending them at peak business hours.  

For this reason, we have restrictions to limit how many large email campaigns people can send out through our servers. Luckily, there are plenty of tools available to help you do just that! Not only do their services make it easier to help you manage and grow your email list, but a lot of them also have free options if your email list is still small.

How many emails can I send?

Our restrictions vary depending on the time of day, how many others are using their emails at that time, and if there are already a lot of emails being sent out at that moment. Since emails get queued up in the system, if you’re trying to send out a bulk-email during a busy time, yours would either be queued up afterward or sent out slowly at the same time. Either way, the speed for all the emails in the queue would be reduced.
