Now that you’ve switched from IBM® Notes™ to Google Workspace, here are some tips to begin using Gmail as your new mail program.
How to view messages:
In IBM Notes emails appear individually. Each email reply appears as a separate message in your inbox.
In Gmail emails are grouped into conversations. Gmail groups all email replies with the original message, creating a single conversation or thread*.
*You can change settings at any time to make replies appear as individual messages instead.
Organize:
In IBM Notes you can store and categorize emails in Folders.
In Gmail you can apply multiple Labels to a message. Later, you can find the message by looking in any of its labels.
How to clean your inbox:
In IBM Notes users can delete emails.
In Gmail users can either delete emails or Archive. Archiving removes emails from your inbox to keep it clutter-free. However, the emails stay in your account so you can find them later.
How to mark important emails:
In IBM Notes users can mark important emails with Flags.
In Gmail users can mark important emails with Stars.
How to create to-do lists:
In IBM Notes users can:

You can access your emails from any computer, smartphone, or tablet.
On your computer:

IBM Notes at mail.wdc.in (a web-based version of IBM Notes) from the computer where it’s installed.

Gmail through web browsers on any device at mail.google.com.
On your mobile devices:

IBM Notes on their mobile devices by installing and opening the IBM Notes Traveler app.
- Users can access
Gmail on their mobile devices by installing and opening the Gmail app.
