Follow the steps below to learn how to use SpamAssassin Advanced
As our servers support using custom SpamAssassin configuration files, you can follow cPanel’s instructions on how to make a new configuration file. Once you’ve generated the file, save it as /home/cpuser/.spamassassin/user_prefs on your account.
You can also manually edit this file
- required_score—Defines the required score for SpamAssassin: 5 is the default, 1 is the most strict (lets the least amount of spam through, may filter too much), and 10 is the least strict (lets the most amount of spam through, may filter too little).
- whitelist_from—Allows emails from this address or domain. The syntax is “whitelist_from user@domain.com.”
- blacklist_from—Denies emails from this address or domain. The syntax is “blacklist_from user@domain.com.”
