Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is a protocol used to secure your website by encrypting information as it travels between the HostPapa server and an internet browser visiting your site. SSL is most often used to protect an online store transaction.
When SSL is enabled on a website, a small padlock icon will appear on any browser that views the site informing visitors that they are protected.
To use SSL on your website, you will need an SSL certificate.
An SSL Certificate encrypts and protects your site’s information.
You can purchase an SSL Certificate at any time through your HostPapa dashboard:
- Log in to your HostPapa dashboard.
- Click on My Services.
- Click on Add Services.
- Under SSL Certificates, click the Add to account button.
If you need help with your HostPapa account, please open a support ticket from your dashboard.
