HostPapa email accounts include limitations for maximum attachment sizes. This limitation varies by email service being used.
- HostPapa Shared Hosting Plans – the email service provided with shared hosting plans has a maximum attachment size of 20 MB.
- HostPapa Basic Email – maximum attachment size of 35 MB.
- HostPapa Advanced Email – maximum attachment size of 35 MB (with an additional file sharing option).
If you have an email with large attachments, it is best if you upload them to a HostPapa web hosting account (or other cloud sharing service) using FTP. You may then use email or webmail to send link(s) to these files.
If you use FTP to upload a file to your site, please don’t leave it there any longer than necessary. Allowing the files to accumulate or take up a lot of space is considered “data warehousing,” as the files are not being directly used by the website. This is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in a suspension of your account.
