As part of HostPapa’s ongoing commitment to strengthen security and prevent email abuse, we are implementing a change to how email forwarding rules are managed for the PapaMail service.
Important update for PapaMail users
- A new update will be released on September 18th, 2025.
- All new email forwarding rules will require a specific opt-in to be created.
- This new security measure will protect your email accounts from unauthorized forwarding. It will also make sure that only legitimate forwarding rules are in place.
What do you need to do?
You’ll need to create a forwarding rule in PapaMail. You can do so by using the following steps:
- Go to PapaMail webmail.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Mail Forwarding.
- Enter the Recipient Email Address.
- Click on Enable.
- Enable/Disable Keep local copy.
- Go to the recipient’s inbox.
- Approve the request.
Please note: If they don’t approve within 24 hours, the request will expire.
Forwarding rules for users in the Admin Center
You can also create forwarding rules for users in the Admin Center—to do so, please:
- Go to PapaMail webmail.
- Click on Admin.
- Click on Users.
- Click on the user’s email address.
- Scroll down to Forwarding.
- Go to Recipients and enter the Recipient Email Address.
- Look for Sending & Receiving.
- Change Delivery to Forward or Local + Forward.
- Scroll down and click on update.
- Go to the recipient’s inbox.
- Approve the request.
Please note: If they don’t approve within 24 hours, the request expires.
