What is an iOS device?
Just like Microsoft’s Windows, iOS is an operating system that runs on phones and tablets. For the moment, iOS only operates on iPhones, iPads, and other Apple-owned devices.
Getting closer to your email
To get started, please:
- Pick up your iOS device.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Passwords & Accounts.
- Choose Add account.
- Tap on Other.
You’ll now need to select Add Mail account. You’ll then be asked to enter:
- Your name.
- Email address.
- Email password.
- A nickname (description) for your account.
Troubleshooting
If mail does not find your email settings and automatically set up your account, please follow these steps:
- In your Webmail account, go to Preferences and then select POP/IMAP. Keep the tab open, as you will need to enter this information into your mobile device.
- Enter the information for the Incoming Mail Server you have chosen (either POP or IMAP) on your iOS device. You might also need to type your email username (for example, Joe Bloggs) and password again. You don’t need to add your full email address in the User Name field.
- Select Next.
- Finally, if your email settings are correct, select Save to complete setup. If they are not, you should re-enter your information.
