What is an Android device?
Android is an operating software that was first released in 2008. It’s now installed on 88% of the total market share of smartphones. Now incredibly popular, smartphones that run on Android are available all over the world.
Setting up your email
Please pick up your Android device and then:
- Open the Menu and then select System settings.
- Select Accounts > Add account.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Select IMAP (recommended) or POP.
- Enter your email address and email password.
- Enter the server mail.yourdomain.tld (for example, mail.examplesetup.ca) followed by the port number. This can be found in your Webmail under Preferences > POP/IMAP.
Please note: Make sure that the Security Type is set to None.
- Enter Inbox in the IMAP Path Prefix.
- Click next.
For the SMTP Outgoing mail server
- Input mail.yourdomain.tld (for example, mail.examplesetup.ca) followed by the port number. This can be found in your Webmail under Preferences > POP/IMAP.
Please note: Make sure that the Security Type is set to None, and then check the box for Require Sign-In.
- Enter your email address next to the username, followed by the password for your email address.
- Click next.
